I can tell you from personal experience I had a Rolex that was almost 3 years old and they repaired it under warranty (full movement service) at no cost. I actually originally sent the watch without the warranty card thinking it was outside their standard 2 year warranty and Rolex called me after receiving the watch asking me to send the card in and they would let me know if they can repair under warranty. To my surprise they did. What they told me when I asked why they repaired it under warranty is that they will generally cover repairs up to 3 years if it appears to be a manufacturer issue and not due to abuse or trauma to the watch.
