New GMT-IIc consistently losing 8 seconds a day, take it in, let it be or wait?

I've had my GMT-IIc for less than a week and it's 8 seconds slow. Not sure what I should do. It's not within COSC standards but I'm not sure how big of a deal it is. Like I said, I just got this so I don't want to be without it for too long, if I took it to RSCNY it would take a couple weeks to get back to me right?

Congrats on the GMT II!

I'd give it a month's time to adjust to your wearing habits. It might get within COSC specs later on. But if it's still consistanly losing 8 secs./day after a month, have it regulated. Normally, it can be done while you wait at an AD.

How long exactly do you have the watch? BTW, if you take it to the RSC in New York and wait for them to fix it, they will usually give back to you in about 2 hours if the problem is easy to fix.

All the clues are in the first post, eh Bo?

But back to the question. I agree with waiting a bit before regulating, but 8 seconds slow a day would drive me nuts. Most of the posts I've seen related to the GMT-IIc's accuracy is that they are about as close to "spot-on" as you can get. Mine has been consistently accurate since day 1.

Yours is better than mine, my new GMT II coke is gaining 17 sec/day for the last two weeks. I will take it for regulation next month.

I would follow the other members advice and let the watch "Bed in" for a few weeks.
When I spoke with my AD that is what he told me.
But saying that, ona whole the GMT II is usually one of the most accurate watches that Rolex have produced.
If its eating away at you and I can understand that, get it regulated.

u need to wear it daily for at least 3-4 weeks. when i got my gmt2-c . same story happened. but after a while, the watch kicked in, and currently it is +- 1 second.
