Hublot Big Bang Question
Hey everyone, although I have been admiring hublots for a while, I actually do not own one.
However, a friend of mine was given a Big Bang Chronograph from his employer as a Christmas gift. After looking over the watch I noticed that there was a 6-7 digit number on the backside of the case. I assumed this was a serial number. I then looked at the warranty card and saw a similar 6-7 digit number beginning with the same 3 digits (I believe 105..... ). Problem is, the two numbers were not identical. I know from my Rolexes and Omegas that typically the numbers on the case and/or movement matches those of the paperwork and warranty information. Is that the case with Hublot? I didn't want to mention it to my friend because I know very little about Hublot and because I didn't want to potentially upset him. Any advice here? Thank you! |

There are two series of numbers on the warranty card. The first is a model number, the second is a serial. Could you have mixed them up? My stainless Big Bang is a 301.(something can't remember). The second line that is off to the right is the serial number.

Would he normally expect a Christmas gift worth 10k usd from his employer? If no, then it's understandable that it's not real. If this is normal for him or he was made to believe it's genuine and worth that much then it is an issue.
There is a security device with the watch which is used to register on the hublot website. Should be pretty obvious to him when he tries to register. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

As for you question, although somewhat unexpected it wouldn't be surprising for his employer to give him a gift that valuable. |

Sounds a bit more hopeful then. It's pretty straight forward to register. Hopefully all is good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

He could ask the AD, or his boss, if he bought more than one, and see about getting the cards swapped over or replaced. |
