Explorer ll braclet options
Hello everyone. I was interested in information for Explorer ll 216570 braclet options. The Oyster Braclet is comfortable, classy, functional, and without question asthetically pleasing to the eye and in function. However, I was looking at a more practical, outdoor, rugged type braclet for work and adventures. Any links, ideas, opinions, or experience in regards to this topic would be appreciated.

Have you looked at a Eulit Perlon 20mm strap in brown or grey? They look incredible with an Explorer II, are indestructible, waterproof, infinitely adjustable. There is a vendor in Germany on *bay who sells them.

Thank you. Have you been to OC Watch Company in Walnut Creek?

IMHO, the Oyster is your go to for this watch.
From experience, the issue is that 216570 has 21mm lugs, so your nato options are limited unless you don't mind a 1mm gap or some bunching up using a 22mm. A few companies do make a 21mm nato, but in very limited colors. The Rubber B requires you to use your Easylink clasp (they don't do the Expy II strap with a tang). Custom leather would also be an option. As with all aftermarket options, springbar failure is a possibility, and I found that the under/oversized natos made it very easy for them to fail. To avoid this, specifically around water, I found shoulderless springbars I could place to use with a nato. These will need to be clipped out once placed, but made the nato (arguably) as sturdy as the Oyster. Hope this helps! |

I have not. I have done some business with D&L there though.

The only mismatch I would wear for my own 216570 21mm, is a 22mm leather strap.
The leather will stretch from 22mm into 21mm. All other options (nylon, etc) not being 21mm just become odd looking. 20mm looks shrimped. 22mm looks awkward. |

Direct link please, I picked up a couple from two different sources and the buckles on them are cheaper than any kids watch I have ever seen. I can literally smoosh the buckle between two fingers like tin foil. I wouldnt trust a department store seiko on one much less a rolex
