Your experience with RSC and YM platinum bezels

How does a RSC usually refinish a Yacht-Master's platinum bezel during a normal service visit?

Yes, he would.....but it needs some very specialised equipment to do that. The Platinum has to be sand-blasted and not just buffed like you would do with other metals.

The good news is that during the process, there is no loss of the noble metal.

Ive had the call to collect my YM from my local RSC today.
Its been there for a standard service, and rolex will not touch the bezel, they only offer a new replacement or reconditioned one.
