I think how it wears depends on the shape of your wrist as well.
I've got 5.75" wrists and I think watches look a good size on it, not too small. Only problem is with wearing 47mm Panerais. |

I think it's more about the lugs not going over your wrist and the overall built of the person. Body shot may be more accurate than just a wrist shot.

I have tiny wrists and if I listened to all the wisdom about what size looks good on me, I'd probably give up wearing watches completely!
So now I wear the watches I like- my opinion is the one that really matters |

i probaby have the tiniest twig wrists around here, its less that 6 inches:
Here's a black bay, which looks rather substantial: And a milgauss, if you consider it a 'sport' model: |

I've got tiny wrists but are a bit flatter and wider. Personally 40mm is the biggest I will go. The sub-c is big on me, but it works. Love my sub-c. |

I was ready to purchase a DJ II but when I tried on my 6.5'' wrist it looked awful. For me 38-40 mm is the perfect size.

My wrists are 6.3-6.4 . I have a 14060m but had problems with the bracelet sitting nicely. What I did was flip the bracelet around , this made the clasp sit really close to center as opposed to being at the end of the wrist . This isn't a problem with the new bracelet because it has more adjustment

This thread shined some light on why people on this forum tend to gravitate toward the 40mm models, and shun >44mm crowd. Lots of small wrists on here, however, more importantly it's the shape of the wrist that makes or breaks the look.

skinny wrists
I never gave much thought to having a watch that is too large for me, as all of my watches tend to be older ones. The one exception is the seadweller 16600, which I wear on a strap- This is because this particular watch wears a little heavier than the others...
