Suggestions for a 3 watch collection?
What would you guys add to this pair?
Keep in mind that I dont want to have a large collection of watches, want to wear them, I have had other rolex and also bigger watches like Panerai and AP ROO, but finally decided that I prefer smaller watches, so, Im almost decided for a Royal Oak 15202 but would like to hear alternatives(not buying soon), what would you get for your 3rd watch? The BLNR is my beater/tool/travel watch, the 5711 is the sporty chic/dress Thanks in advance! |

Excellent beginning
I would choose an aquanaut over the 15202 for the simple reason of diversity.

Something smaller and dressier could round that out nicely.

Since you have both bases covered as above, maybe A dress watch on a strap. I'd vote PP5960 annual calendar.

You're really lacking a Chronograph in there imo. You have good taste so your choice.

Both are sport watches on steel... You could use a dress watch on a strap, maybe something from JLC, GO, or ALS.

Personally I'd diversify the metal- something with gold- either a two tone or solid gold piece- anything from Rolex will do, AP's steel/RG 15400 looks good.

How about a AP RO Chrono? A white face covers the 3 main colours and the watch fits in with your sports collection - a better chrono than a Daytona IMO and you will keep a bit of diversity in your collection by having 3 different brands and face colours.
Next option would be a RG leather band dress PP 5205r or a 5960 perhaps if you wanted am AC or chrono itch scratched |

With your collection I'd say an AP. So like you said a regular Royal oak or for a little variety try a ROC. Nothing at all wrong with a Daytona though

216570 Polar, or perhaps 116713 if you want to stay with black?

The 15202 is awesome, but you already have a 5711.
An 5167 Aquanaut could be a nice addition to add a sportier rubber watch. But I would really go for a dress watch if you wear suits often, a PP Calatrava, a VC Patrimony or a Lange would be nice. Or a JLC Master Ultra Thin if you don't want to spend that much.

I would go ALS 1815 (+/- chrono), ALS Lange 1 or Chocolate Daytona on leather, I love the 15202 but it is very similar to the existing two.

Very nice collection!
When selecting a new watch, go with your gut. Don’t always listen to others. Your eye transmits an image to your brain. If you feel good – buy it. with that said, I would add a Daytona. Happy hunting!
