CONFIRMED: Canadian Price Increase

Received a telephone call from my contact at the AD about half an hour ago and he advised they just received the new price list from Rolex Canada via Fed Ex. The standard increase for all Rolex watches in Canada are approximately 7-8%. He was reading the prices on a few pieces to me over the phone. They will be inputting the new prices into their system this week and come Monday, March 16th, all their watches will reflect the new price.

The Canadian MSRP on the Day-Date I picked up this past Saturday was $33,700 and the new price is $36,050. Saved myself an extra $2,350 plus taxes. Every little bit counts.

So, if any one wants to buy, you should do it now. Especially our American members as the USD is strong and the CAD is weak. I know if I was American and lived close to the border, I would be making a trip up north this week.

It seems there were some rumors of this ahead of time, which I tended to not believe. Wondering if there is a similar bump coming in pricing in the USA.

There are always price increase rumors. One of them was bound to be correct.

If that's the case its highly likely the ADs are going to price in the increase to any "discounts" they offer.

Thanks for this Eric! Everything you said is exactly why I bought my beauty early... there were too many whispers and market indicators for the price raises not to be true. DavidSW sourced mine from Canada so I got an extra good deal

I was told that it will happen on Mar 16th at min. 10% while I purchased my hulk two weeks ago. I am so glad that I can buy the hulk before they increase the price and the AD offer me 10% off. SO HAPPY.

Breitling just increased their prices today too, by what looks to be about 8% in Canada.

pam and patek are 5-8% decrease here in US. I think Rolex will go on the opposite route.

Glad it worked out for you, Sherri. If I was American, I would be taking advantage of the strong US dollar at this moment.

Eric, I'm glad you purchased your watch in time. It was a message from above that your Grail was destined for you before the increase.

I think they will hold off price for now due to the strong dollar.

In my opinion, they did not increase the price enough. The Canadian Dollar has lost significantly more than 7-8% against the USD and CHF.

It's a good thing Rolex does not ask you for your opinion.

I think so. Actually, my contact has been telling me this for several weeks now and I trust him enough to know that it is not a sales pitch. I just had to convince myself to do it and if I was going to to do it, why not do it before the price hike?

I received similar information from my AD. I was considering purchasing a SubC and they told me to get in before the increase. It might still be more worthwhile to source the pieces from Canadian ADs as the CAD is so weak + duties on top from a TRF trusted seller would eat away at any discount benefit.

If the Euro hit a record low today at $1.07 for one euro, shouldn't the Rolex prices decrease in the U.S.???

No, Rolex would make a killing off the exchange rate.

I do not think so, the Canadian Dollar lost quiet a bit of value recently, while our Greenback remained pretty strong...but I would not bet the farm

Probably still 8700 plus tax until Monday 16 March according to this post. Then an increase of 7 or 8 percent. Don't think anyone will know for sure until Monday.

I was at an AD during my lunch break, and tried on a Milgauss - The lady told me I should make up my mind within the next week as the prices will be increasing soon.

She offered to take 20% off the list price, I bit my tongue as I was about to tell her the better deals I could get from members off TRF
