Fair Price for 16570 Polar?
I've tried to fall in love with the 216570 Polar, but can't get over the fat minute hand. So, I've been in the market for a 16570 as my first Rolex purchase and prospective daily wearer. I would have preferred one with the 3186 movement, but I haven't had much luck negotiating for one lately.
As an alternative, I can purchase an F-series polar (SEL, no holes) for about $4,000. Otherwise mint condition, but no box or papers. I've taken an informal survey of similar pieces that have sold in classifieds, but I would certainly appreciate the community's opinion. Assuming no issues with the seller, does this strike you all as an acceptable price? |

Six months ago I paid that amount for a LNIB fully stickered polar. Sounds high to me but I haven't checked the sale section lately.

That sounds about right for an F series, even with no box or papers assuming it's in mint condition. Sounds like judson scored an amazing deal but that's certainly not the norm.

I would say $4k is fair for an F.

The price is in-line, but I bought a mint Z-serial 16570 within the last 4 months for $4,000 with box but no papers. I think you could do a little better honestly. I guess it depends on what you want.

Roughly 4K, and should be with boxes and papers. Get 'em while you can at these prices. A few years from now, when the prices jump, you'll regret not buying!

If you feel like a vacation in Hong Kong I'm selling a Polar 3186 with box and recent RSC service for 4,770 but trademark laws mean I can't ship to the states. Sorry.

A few mos back i picked up a T-series for $3800. Box/papers and it had just gotten serviced by RSC with receipt and warranty card. I was happy with the price.
