You miss them every day until they are back on your wrist!

I just read a post by someone that had their watch in for service and he felt that it seemed like an eternity until the watch was back on his wrist and it reminded me of a man that came in to our business that had a watch stolen. He was a stone mason by trade and he had his Airking stolen from a job site. He came in the store every week with cash from his labor until he had that watch back on his wrist. Isn't so strange how much if a attraction these watches have for us? I sold one 11 years ago and couldn't afford to replace until this year and honestly not a week went by that I didn't fantasize about a new Rolex. Now that I visit this forum daily I am starting to think about my next Rolex (maybe a Sea Dweller I think). What a crazy product it really does get in your blood and once you've tasted it, there is no turning back.

Yes, no other watch seems to feel as good on my wrist as my Rollie. Mine is in for service now and I am having Rolex withdrawals.

For 31 years I think about watches every single day, evening, night and at bedtime I think about walking into a store and buy another watch. Hey, it's the best hobby in the world.

I can't get the DSSD out of my head. I can't wait to get it on my wrist.

Isn't it the truth, I am currently trying to block any thoughts of new acquisitions from my mind. But a DSSD would be a dream come true!

It really is an incredible hobby, like many things if you don't have the passion you can't understand it but I agree it is fabulous fascination.

I used to wear not expensive watches, and then I bought a Rolex. I think these watches come with magic. Probably, because we have the Rolex brand in our brains even before we can afford one. Buying a Rolex is a very special achievement in your life. It´s like telling the whole world that you are intelligent enough to make a profit and adquire the best things in life.

The best things in life are free...except a Rolex. That's going to cost you a small fortune. But it's the best and it's worth it, IMHO.

I agree; enjoy it, keep it, treasure it and don't be too consumed with looking for that next watch. I thought a lot about which model to buy and I am glad I did, I am thrilled with my choice. if I am ever in the position to buy another I will consider myself doubly blessed but in the mean time I feel very fortunate just to be in the game!

My watchmaker has had my Tudor chrono since Feb. His prices are great, he's extremely knowledgable, but too damn slow. It's causing me to buy more just to sooth my pain.
Can't wait till this is back on my wrist.
