New Member Requests Input for First Rolex

After a long journey of forum reading and expensive watch lusting, I have finally decided on Rolex as the brand for my first good watch. I have narrowed my choice to either the 116713LN


or the 116520


Although priced similarly the character of these watches are different. I will likely find the GMT complication more useful; however, I aspire to own a track car, making the Daytona an aspirational piece.

I wear a coat and tie during the work week, so neither choice is more appropriate, but I don't want a Datejust or a Cellini. My funds are reserved for just one watch.

I think this Friday is the day I will make the plunge and purchase either the TT GMT or SS Daytona at an AD. Your comments and opinions will be appreciated.
