Tudor Black Bay (Basel '15)
Any info on whether or not the new Tudor COSC in-house movement just introduced will find its way into the Black Bay? (sans date function of course)
Will be interesting to keep an eye on the Black Bays being sold in the months to come. |

Do you think the price will drop on all ETA models?

I don't see it happening. Black Bay was part of the Heritage models for the revival of Tudor all over and even included the original 'Rose logo'. Black Bay has done its work and now the future lies with the 'shield'.

In-house movement would be cool. But only Tudor knows for now.

I'm hoping so. I guess I should read up more on the tudor movements and if they have any problems, but I'd hate to buy a BB now if they'll be swapping to an improved movement soon. I assume as ETA phases out of the non-swatch group, they'll kinda be forced to, and feels like the BB is one of the best sellers for Tudor, so I can't imagine them dropping it anytime soon.

I cannot either. And I would put a properly regulated 2824 ETA up against about any mass produced auto as far as reliability or accuracy are concerned. And they are cheap to service because any competent watchmaker can service them. They are great movements. Pick up a gently used BB and enjoy the hell out of that thing.
