The New OP Implications for Datejust
So is a 39mm Datejust a lock then for next year? That would be awesome imo.

Perhaps they'll keep the 36mm and reduce the size of the DDII?

Me too. And I bet a lot of people would love as well. The 36mm is small I guess. I like that size on many of my vintage watches but somehow I'm not comfortable spending the asked price on a modern 36mm watch. I see the DJ as a dress watch no matter how it was built, and dress watches need to be elegant and well proportioned, and I'm sorry but I don't see the DJII that way.

I like my DJ2's size and I am not a big watch guy. Do you think Rolex keeps 41, adds 39 and drops 36?

These new size releases have thrown me for a loop. I'm uncertain of what's in store for sure. 41mm? 36mm? 31mm? 26mm? What's the future of these sizes I wonder. Maybe we'll find out at the next Basel.

36mm DJ is the Datejust, so I would also be surprised if Rolex discontinued it. To me it wears beautifully for the type of watch it is, and is a perfect classic men's size. 39mm would be a nice option though, and I can see that as a real possibility.
What would be really interesting is if Rolex brought the TOG back in a 39mm case, and made the size exclusive to the model as a niche product... |

IMHO, the 36 is the perfect size for a DD or DJ. I hope they don't drop it.
