Hopefully it's only on the cyclops as stated. AR coating is really nasty when it starts to flake off, which I've had happen to a pair of AR coated prescription glasses.

Read the crystal descriptions of the Submariner vs. Sub date, Explorer vs. Explorer II, the new OP, etc. I think it's clear they meant the cyclops, and although it is acceptable wording it could certainly be clearer.

I'm glad they don't put AR coating all over the crystl. My old PO had scuffs in the AR, and it looked awful.

x2. I love the AR coating on my Breitlings. Makes them much easier to read and also doesn't show fingerprints or smudges nearly as badly.

If an AR coating is such a problem on the cyclops then why not just make the cyclops out of sapphire as well?

Granted it could be too costly.
