1019 Milgauss

Not an expert on these so looking to the forum for some input. I have not pulled the s/n yet but have been told this is from 1969. My limited exp with these makes me think this is a much later dial and as the band is a solid link it too is much later.. what are the points to look for on these.. the dial is in great shape as is the case from the limited look I have had at it. Anything the forum can tell me re what to look for here would be great.

thanks for your help!!!

Have this in my hands now.. pulled the band off last night and it is a mid 2M serial number so 69 ins is the correct production time-frame.. Anyone have any comments about the dial timeline? Was this dial with the black non lume markers and tritium dots available in 69?

I would have thought a Milgauss would have driven more conversation on here..

I love them but unfortunately know nothing about them, rarely see them come up for conversation on this particular site (hence reason this thread is quiet?).

case is from the end of 1970 or beginning of 1971.
so with a case number in the 2.5-2.6 range I expect to see the older dial, such as this one :

Case looks very nice and thick but as stated above the dial should be 1/5 seconds and not 1/2 seconds.

Re:

Here are mine, where the one with the silver dial has a similar case serial range as yours, but it's a 1/5th hash markers and rail dial. The black one is 1/2 hash markers.

Seems the only modern Rolex I can find with fractional second hash marks is the black (non-GV) Milgauss. Anyone know of any other modern models with fractional second hash marks? The 1/5th looks really cool on the old Milgauss.

The 1/5 second dial is the way to go.
However, every 1019 is a vintage piece these days and so if it has a dial replacement, one has to be sympathetic to the age.
