What do you make of this? Ceramic Bezel Insert for the 16710
Hello,
The 16710 is a true classic, no question. Swapping out the bezel inserts makes it even a more fun and versatile watch. So I am wandering around eBay and see a ceramic insert for the 16710. It's clearly an aftermarket piece, but best as I know the 16710 never had a ceramic insert. That's just on the 116710. What's stranger is that the ad points out that you might need some glue to keep this insert on the bezel. Well, now that means the proud owner can't swap out the authentic Rolex bezel inserts anymore. A solution, seems to me, is to just buy another stainless steel bezel (aftermarket so long as it is SS and looks nice) and carefully glue the insert into that one, and when you want to use your black-blue ceramic bezel on your 16710, just pop the whole thing in and keep the integrity of your original 16710 bezel. Here is it: What do you think? Who would do this to their lovely 16710, and more importantly why? Would you? |

Afraid we to not talk about fitting after market things like ceramic inserts which in the real world are nothing more than fakes as they are not original spec for any Rolex watch subject closed. Link removed.
