Well worth the 5% or 10% more to buy new, from an AD and have no issues with warranty ownership or the transaction itself.

I bought a Brand New Rolex from a seller here. It was more like 24% off. Complete with original warranty card (in my name) and the transaction was as smooth as butter.

I had the same experience. It's difficult to pass up when the savings are so substantial. And let's be honest, there are several time tested sellers on this forum that are as reputable as can be.

Yes... he's aware. Good catch, thanks.

Despite the "cost" of the lesson, your words are on point - thanks.

Sorry to hear about your story this is why I am paranoid about buying a Rolex here in TRF if you are not careful you could get scammed I myself am interested in purchasing my very first sub which is a TT 116613LB the one with the sunburst dial now here on TRF there are 2 sellers I believe that sells them who are very well known and reputable however...

I would never ever wire transfer a money to someone I do not know who is a complete stranger to me without doing a face to face transaction AND a confirmation where he purchased the watch and then go to that AD to confirm it was the seller that actually bought the watch so it cannot get claimed as stolen later on.

Some people might call this over the top paranoid but saving 3k on a watch only to get scammed isn't worth it vs going to an AD and having that 100% PIECE OF MIND.

Most AD's would not give that information at a guess. Sometimes its better to pay the extra money and buy from an AD...........

Sorry to hear your loss, I hope you can get back your money. I have my own encounter on frauds - once I received an empty box and the other was a deliberate wrong delivery. I was fortunate enough to get my money back on both occassions as I had paid with my credit card via paypal.

I would never use wire transfer and would request seller to use paypal instead and I will bear any paypal charges incurred.
