Tudor 79280 power reserve

My 79280 keeps excellent time, however even with a full wind it will stop after about 90 minutes with the Chrono running.
The seller told me that the watch had been serviced prior to sale 6 months ago, but I suspect it may be time to send it off for an overhaul.
Would like some opinions on this.
Also would you recommend Rolex Canada for this or one of our great independents.
Thanks and have a great weekend

First it will depend on what you call a full wind most people when the try and wind a watch by the crown go back and thro. The watch winds only on the forward wind so at least 40 full turns clockwise only. Now with the chrono function running it should only make a difference of around 2-6 hours. So still should get around 38 hours plus, unless the mainspring is weak or the spring barrel is very worn not allowing the mainspring to fully compress tightly..

When first purchased my 79170 would wind down prematurely as you describe, but without the chrono running. The problem was an imperfection in the mainspring barrel that apparently kept it from winding fully, or at least that's how it was described to me by the watchmaker. After replacing it during a subsequent overhaul the problem stopped and it's been working great.

Most any high street watchmaker could do a movement service and replace movement parts if needed as it has the Valjoux 7750 movement.
