To the OP : sorry to rain on your parade, but what you did is absolutely inexcusable. Why would you harass the aquatic life form??? It is only due to the behavior of dumb a$$e$ like you we can no longer wear gloves when diving in the Caymans or have to be babysat by a dive master in Costa Rica.
What is so wrong with admiring the grace of the animal from a distance? Why do you feel the urge to hitch a ride on it? You need to show that your balls are bigger then your brain? Well, you have... I am NOT a tree hugger by any stretch of imagination, but I hate being told time and again on the dive boat that I can't bring this or that with me and I need to make sure that I TAKE ONLY PICTURES AND LEAVE ONLY BUBBLES. This is only due to to the behavior of tourists like YOU!!! Thanks a lot!!! |

You know Stan, I have anticipated the 'I'm not a tree hugger type, but!?' response.... That is why I've not pinpointed the actual location!!
I wasn't a 'tourist' here, I was (quite a few generations removed) a local! It is acceptable to be part of the ocean chain, and one with the ocean here. You can stand on your high horse and preach all that you wish, but where this was taken is completely part of the indigenous behavior, and part of the the beliefs of the local islanders.... Dumbass or not, and I've been both, before you decide to berate me, step down and read about the relationship of the local ocean bearing beliefs before you pass judgment! Deep breath Stan, and leave those 'Bubbles' of ignorance elsewhere... My real intent here, was to light heartedly show that a Rolex need not be babied, but enjoyed no matter the circumstance. Quote:

Correct. A lemon shark as already posted.... a wonderful and majestic dweller of the seas Jason, and one you've probably encounted before knowing your diving experience..? Quote:
I agree. There's a place/time/species & location.. So many factors. The ocean and it's inhabitance do need protection without doubt. Understanding and facts are always key!

Very cool Rob I think you're safe. No way the shark could handle the DSSD if he bit into it

I could have never posted a pic like that. Because there would have been an embarrassing poop trail in the water..
No way I would do that Rob. Great pics though.. |
