Crystal replacement under warranty?
Hey guys, looking to get a BLNR very soon. Going to purchase pre owned, but question is if the cyclops magnification is not to my liking, will Rolex replace the crystal under warranty even if Im not the original purchaser? What would I need to do to accomplish this at the local AD? Thanks....

Yess. I got the crystal replaced for my SUBC under warranty and I was not the original buyer. You do not need purchasing recipe only your warranty card... Unless you purchased it grey. In the USA u lose the warranty when buying gray I heard. In europe this is not the case.

The Rolex website doesn't show the magnification of 2.5x anymore.
So I assume that a claim about it at an RSC could be more difficult than before.

I have been through this myself. RSC told me it was to spec and no free replacement. I offered to pay the $180 for a new crystal and they happily replaced it. Turnaround time was less than 24 hours. I am very happy with the results, no regrets in paying. I know some will argue this is wrong but to me it's not worth the hassle. Before my watch's date was so small it looked like a fake. $180 later it looks great.

Just make sure the cyclops is to your satisfaction before you buy.
