Scam alert .. Please read !!!!

As many of you know, I have been a member here for a long time. Many of you guys have wished me well with my cancer ordeal and some have even offered to just listen if I ever needed someone to talk to as I recover and heal. Many others have sent me loads of compliments on my DJ collection.

So heres the deal ....

A good friend of mine has sent me a link from a craigslist add with pictures of one of my watches for sale. I know it's my watch because I posted the very same wrist shots here on TRF. Even the box set and books are MY pictures that I took to show to other Rolex owners. My watch was even listed on ebay, but has been taken down.

I am posting a link here for everyone to see. PLEASE DO NOT BE SCAMMED BY THE PERSON POSTING THE AD. The watch is mine, and it is not for sale. If I ever do decide to sell a Rolex or Patek, I will do so on TRF!! Besides, many TRF members won't go for aftermarket diamonds on a Rolex like I will sometimes do.

I post this in the hopes that nobody gets taken. The link is below.

Regards,

http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/jwl/4958626460.html

Flagging it once or twice does not make it go away. I think Craigslist either reviews it or delete it after certain number of flags from different individuals.

Thanks for the heads up. Sorry to see this, as I just got scammed on a similar rouge likely using pirated pictures... but nobody warned us as you are trying to do. Just infuriates me that there are others out there wanting to take advantage of honest folks.

this is probably a scam where the guy shows up with a gun instead of the Rolex.

people need to be careful on Craigslist - you can lose more than money and wake up dead.

Seems like craigslist being more and more unreliable.

Actually, now that I remember you can create a Re: post on Craigslist to warn others about the fraudulent sale. OP perhaps you want to do that.

I reflagged again as well. It must take a lot of people flagging for it to actually come down. OP, thanks again for the heads up on this. I spoke with the "seller" once before seeing your thread about a possible trade and now he won't answer emails..I will be sure to call him or her on their BS if they do respond.

I just spent 6 days in the hospital and got home Saturday evening. I was shocked that my email account was hacked, and there were a bunch of emails addressed to me but appeared to be sent by me, and they were all very rude emails talking about my health as well as personal things in my life. I have a feeling I know who is behind this, but I can't really prove it.

I thank you for you're help. It's nice to know that there are still very good people in this world willing to help out when help is needed. Please don't hesitate to call on me if there is ever anything I can ever do for you.

No worries at all Robbie! Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it was your cousin that did that to you. They finally responded to my email admitting to hacking you and then proceeded to say some really foul things about you. I will PM you the email I received so you can kick his or her a** accordingly

I just flagged this one. The first listing is gone.

Hope you are feeling better and glad that you are home from the hospital.
