His and Her Rolex's

What are your guys thoughts on this.

My lady friend used to not like watches at all. She now loves my subby and is thinking she wants a Rolex also. Well, we tried on several and she really like the mid sized SS/Pt YM. Well, I really like the full size SS/Pt YM. What do you guys think about his and her matching SS/Pt YM's? Would that be to twinkie'ish????

I would be uncomfortable.

For Chagrins, let her wear the larger size and you wear the mid.
That would be a stitch!

Sounds like a plan to me. What a great way to get a new Rollie and get brownie points to boot! Remember, age and treachery beats youth and enthusiasm every time.

Who's going to notice? Unless you sit at the table holding hands and the watches are close to each other... Yeah that would be dorky.

I believe your lady friend still doesn't like watches..................she only like the $5000 price tag attached.

To prove my point, they did a wine group-study a couple of years ago. The leaders of the study presented the group with various bottles of wine that had their labels removed. To make things interesting, they mixed up the bottles and put miss-matched price-stickers on each bottle. For instance, that cheap $7 bottle of red-wine was priced at $30, and vice versa.

When the group was asked which bottle of wine they enjoyed the most, the majority picked the phony $30 bottle of wine!

On this woman, I suggest you get her a Folex. She won't know the difference and it'll get you TONS of nookey! I guarantee it!

I have a GMT TT C, she has a TT Black Sub. Similar, we get comments all the time about our matching watches until I correct them.

I think a pair of Rolex watches would be cool. I'm not sure about having the same style though (ie. full size and mid size Yacht Masters).

It's cool that your significant other can appreciate a fine watch though. My wife sees no value in fine watches. I have to constantly check her Tag to make sure it's on the right date and the crown is screwed in.

IDEA.

Daytona SS for your lady and a Milgauss GV for you.

Then you can mix and match at the weekends.

No, she likes 'em alright. She just never considered them before. She is all about quality as her shoe and purse collection are proof. I didn't believe her at first, but she got me a Louis Vuitton wallet for my birthday and it is truly a high quality piece of leather. She has always liked watches and wanted a Cartier Tank auto. Never considered Rolex, b/c the ladies sizes are two small. She likes larger watches. I started showing her the Perpetual lines and the "gents/unisex" size. She loves 'em.
