Rolex Ernest Scanlan Preston
i have brought a 1927 Rolex Ernest Scanlan Preston but i would like to know more information about who this Ernest Scanlan is and if anyone can help me find a page of info about this person so i have some knowledge of my watch

I did not have a clue as to who that chap is, so I googled it. Apparantly, he was an illegal watchmaker (click). Somehow that reminds me of someone....cannot - or won't - recall who it is! Sorry that I couldn't be of more help! I hope some others chip in with more infos on this guy in question! Meanwhile, please post a pic of your Rolex, please!
