Most valuable none diamond Rolex

What's the most valuable Rolex out there? I'm not interested in any stupid Pimp Diddy diamond encrusted pish, I mean proper Rolex watches

I'm sure it'll be a vintage one? or perhaps a gold Paul Newman Daytona?

That would probably be the Rolex model 6036 (Triple Calendar Oyster Chronograph).

One sold at auction in Geneva last year fetched a price of 322,000 CHF (220,000 US $).

I could imagine the pics on the James Dowling site being copyrighted, so I won't post a pic of the ref. 6036, but you can read more about it here.

Aside from the vintage Daytona models ($45k?) maybe the plat 950 President priced about the same.

There was an "albino" Daytona recently sold at auction for over $500K.

How much would a Pan Am 6542 GMT white dial be worth? Has there been any public auction of an example of this ever recorded?

Geez,
I missed the boat. I thought he was looking at one to buy.

All you long-term students of Rolex are sure to find high six-figure examples.

COMEX models seem to command a big price at auctions.
