Setting GMT 24hr hand
Hello,
I hope it's not a problem. My 24 hour had is 2hrs off. If my watch shows 12midnight the 24hr hand is on hour 22. Is my watch callibrated incorrectly? I still a newbie. Hope this makes sense. |

It's fine...
The 24-hr hand can be set independently from the 12-hr hand. When you pull the crown out to the second position, both the 12-hr and 24-hr hands move in sync. However, when you pull out the crown to the first position, you will turn the 12-hr hand in perfect one hour increments while the 24-hr hand, minute hand, and second hand continue to run. That is the beauty of the modern GMTs, and allows you to de-link the hands.

Thank you, Thank you,
I played around with it a finally got it to work. I thought it was always sychronized. Then my reaction was my 1 week old watch had a defect. |

The independent hand is what makes the GMTII great. You also need to make it go around the bezel TWICE to get the date to 'roll' over.
Thanks to the amazing movement, there are no restrictions as to when you can move the time/date forwards or backwards.

Just a little addendum... now that you see how to jump the hour hand around... When travelling, say one or two time zones, just reset your hour hand to the new time zone and your 24 hour hand will still show home time. Upon return, readjust the hour hand back/forward to home time. Simple and effective. Welcome to the 4 hand club...

You just have to travel to a place with a two hour time zone difference, and all will be fine again.
