Well I think they cannot be compared. It depends on what one's needs. It one travels often, then the GMT is for him. If one dives often, then the GMT is not appropriate for him, so naturally the new SD is a the right choice.

I think a fairer comparison will be the new Sub vs the new SD.

For me I did not vote, cos I want them BOTH!!!!!!

I have the TT GMT-Master IIc now and am very content with it. I also have an SS Date Sub for sport. I am an old man and wear old man watches. I'm satisfied with sticking with what I have.

I am not impressed with the picturs of the DS that I have seen - perhps it will look better in the flesh but to my eyes the design package is rather OTT - the GMT11-C is a great watch and one I have enjoyed wearing for the last 9 months so that gets my vote. If I wanted a dive watch I would buy the standard Sub - great design and available at about half the price of the new DS.

Deepsea for me. It would be a difficult one if the Pepsi was there!

I paid the old price for the GMTIIc in SS, and I am not ready to pay $9000 for a watch. Also, I wear a suit to work, and I think the Deap Sea is too big to be appropriate for work.

However, I think it's a gorgeous watch, a huge improvement on the old SD which I think was just a slight variant on the Sub. I want one.

Remove the garish black "ring" lettering reminding us of the features and I'd be a lot more interested in an SDDS.

Voted for the GMT, as I've already got the only SD that I want

Sean

My thoughts exactly. If the price is over the top I'll stick with the SS GMT IIc.

GMT IIc.

I'm a small guy and about the only thing I could do with the SDDS is wear it around my waist (or hold it over my head?) and tell everyone I'm the WWF flyweight champion.

It would be the GMT. The DS is too big for my wrist and the face is too noisy with text.

GMT-IIC. Much more useful and attractive watch. Of course, one would have to see the SDDS in the flesh to be sure but based on the pics thus far...

Deep Sea for me!!!!
A watch that can tell time and is big enough to be a lethal weapon.
The DSSD is so tough it looked at Chuck Norris and made him cry!!!
