A Rare and Complete Abu Dhabi Presentation Date!

Took this out from the bank to have a look over and generally admire! Never used, mint condition, complete set. It's quite the rare beauty! Enjoy some pics.

Nice! Any special paperwork with it? The suede flap part is the wrong way round, by the way. The Rolex logo should face you right way up when you open the box. That's why it looks a bit crumpled.

Now why in heavens name would you not wear that?? I just don't get the concept of keeping mint. Having said that, it looks great.

Well to answer your question...

A. My dad is the owner, I'm just the admirer ;) so it's really his call.

B. I generally agree with you, but I don't think id wear this one, only because the 36mm cases are not my cup of tea. My dad would probably be cool with me wearing it actually, but my subs keep me busy enough. so it won't be worth wearing it just for the sake of wearing it when I'd prefer to wear others that are not mint.

I do love admiring it though. It's a stunning piece.

I just looked at the paperwork quickly and didn't see anything indicating the "presentation" factor. Thanks for the tip. I'll get that in order

A Rolex not worn is not a watch........ Get that puppy out in circulation, your dad should wear it.

I'm afraid I have to go against everybody and say that to me that logo ruins the look of the dial.

It's funny because I've felt this way in the past about the presentation watches. We had an Omani DJ, and we still have a Bahraini DJ, and both seem a little out of place. This crest I actually like the most. Maybe it's the shape that makes it work well.

But with that said, the cosmetic look of this watch is really only half the "cool" factor of this watch. It has much more to do with, as others have said, getting a look at something you don't see every day! It's a rare find and pretty beautiful piece.

Yeah I think you're sort of right! Sort of in the way the daytona is a 40mm but actually measures less. I think this is 34mm but actually measure more. I would say it's like 35mm.

That's a very unique piece Chad. I honestly never knew it even existed. Give it some wrist time if you can tear yourself away from your Subs.

Please excuse my ignorance. What exactly are these logos related to?

The logo above is the emblem for the Abu Dhabi police force.
