I typically only tend to wear my favorite watch, the others don't get any wrist time. However each one I have had been my daily wearer for years and symbolize different periods of my life. I've never traded any in. I enjoy the sentimental value of my collection.

I like mixing my straps and bracelets up. Makes the watches in the collection seem fresh and new.

Everything gets worn for 2-3 days before being changed. So all my watches would get a run at least once a month.

I had a Tag Heuer before my first Rolex. Had it for about a decade (wore it everyday) as it was a gift from my wife (girlfriend at the time). I still like the watch and it has sentimental value but to be honest, it hasn't really seen my wrist since I bought my first Rolex 4+ years ago.
If I bought it for myself, I'd get rid of it, but it does have meaning to me, and I may still wear it on certain vacations or shadier spots :) So my advice, if you're not attached with the piece and don't think you'll get much use out of it, sell it. Quality over quantity. Wear what makes you happy everyday. |

I was actually the opposite of a lot of people here. I picked up my twin Tags after I bought a new Rolex. To each his own, my tags actually get a lot of wrist time for occasions that I have where I do not want to wear my nicest watch. As I add more Rolex to my collection I can see my Tag auto leaving as I will have "nicer" Rolex and my explorer can truly be my everyday watch. The answer to your question will depend on you, your living and your life style.

I had Casio, Omega, Penerai, Certina.......sold or gave them away. Only have Rolex now.
If I buy other watches, it will be JLC, Zenith......maybe the new Panerai movement with 8days power reserve. |
