Help Identifying my vintage rolex
Hi everyone!
Brand new member here, found the site while trying to work out the age etc of my watch, and sorry if this is in the wrong section!! Basically - I was given the watch for my 21st and have no idea about it's model, age or anything. Closest I've got is probably 1920's or 1930's from my googling but any help would be appreciated! Thanks for any help you all can give! |

Vintage manual wind dress watch, if you pop off the caseback, there will be some numbers and stampings that wll help date it if you can get pics of those. Looks more 30's/40's to me

Likely has a 17 jewel movement. Could be a 4221; is definitely from that timeframe.

I am going to guess late 40's early 50's.
Pre- WWII watches tend to be smaller, especially with Rolex. And style is much more reminiscent of that era. Rolex re-started their serial numbers in 1953, so if you based your estimate of age by the serial number, it maybe mid 50's. Last edited by MILGAUSS88; 3 June 2015 at 10:09 AM.. Reason: spell |
