I sent the general manager a candid email about this reservation being canceled and that it was impossible for me to find a reservation at a comparable restaurant (3 Michelin Star). I got a call from Jean Georges' personal assistant asking me what my other choices would be and "Mr. Georges" would try to call in a favor.

I told her Per Se or Le Bernadin were the only restaurant I would be interested in. To make a long story short, Per Se only has 16 tables in the restaurant and they added one more to accommodate us at 8pm on our anniversary.
Wow, that's how you create a restaurant empire.

I did the same...I am going to be in CPH for the next 2 weeks...I'm on the waiting list every day. Not holding my breath. Fortunately there are a lot of branches from the Noma tree in town that are great.

Apparently when they moved the restaurant to the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo earlier this year the reservation list was 60K deep.

We are going to Studio; apparently is the best next thing. Have you booked anything already?

Not too stuffy of an atmosphere, prices are fair, and food is spectacular.....and I'm a foodie....a picky one at that. LOL
I try to get to Ciao Bella a few times a year when I'm in the Twin Cities. A hidden gem with a fantastic wine list!
