Vintage GMT with no "Swiss..." on the dial
I found this on eBay. There's several things that look off to me, but of special interest is the fact that there's no "Swiss Made", "Swiss - T<25" etc on the dial.
Sorry I'm not posting pics, but can't do from my phone. Anyone with better knowledge please chime in. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=121651716407 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well spotted. Poor redial at least. I suspect the R in Rolex is sloppy, too, seeing as how it's covered up.

Yes, it's one of the things I also noticed.

I'm not an expert by any means, so please forgive a little training!
To me, and in addition to the above points; the 'base circle' on the GMT hand is far too large in diameter, and aren't the hands 'stacked up' in the wrong order for a Rolex GMT (318X?) movement? (I thought the stack up shown in the ad was the order of the ETA movements?) Thanks for helping a noob learn :-) |
