you prefer with or without?

Seeing all these watches signed by sportsmen like some AP which I understand have signatures of the person endorsing it, like schumi for example, or Panerai which are called "Slytech" with Stallone's signature on the case back, to the AP Arnold Schartznegger, sorry if I wrote it wrong, like you have on this pic.

My question is:

- Do you like having a signed watch?
- You don't care?
- You don't like?

I would be in the third camp

I'd hardly call 1500 pieces "Limited Edition", but then it's less than Omega's typical 'LE' numbers!
In some ways, it'd not bother me – I can see past all that, but I'd rather a proper signature done on the rear, which would be engraved afterwards.
On the one pictured, at lease the extra text fills in an otherwise large empty void.

I don't like all that stuff, the basic original model is usually beautiful enough for my liking!

Except if the watch is really great like a AP ROO Schumacher, the first one, not the new concept case one, I really don't like it, at least having an athlete's name on it like Schumi, Nadal, Watson, and others, is more or less ok if the watch is really cool, but having a watch with the signature or name of movie stars like Stallone or Arnold, that's a big NO WAY for me except if you can change the case back and put one without name and signature...

if the watch is otherwise good, i don't care what's written on the back of the case.

I think it's silly, and a sad indication of the world's obsession with 'celebrity'. It also cheapens the brand, IMHO.

I wonder if there was a 'Bogart' or 'Gable' Special/Limited Edition watch...

Celebrity connections are already a phony baloney kind of thing, to me, so the signature on the back is meaningless, at best. I'm in the "don't care" group, now, but would jump to the "hate it" side if the signature showed in front.

This. It's a little too gimmicky for me.

If a watch company cannot sell a watch without the endorsement from some random athlet/"celebrity" I'm not interested.

I don't think I've ever seen a poll where one of the options was at "0" after this many people has voted.

I won't buy such a watch even if i love the piece. Did OJ ever have an endorsed watch with his name/initials? If so i wonder what happened to its value after tragic death of his wife and friend?

My thoughts as well. I'd much rather have a visable movement by far.

With poll numbers like this coming from a watch community, it's surprising that there's as many of these type (endorsed) watches around.
Seems like it turns more away than towards?

I would rather that they were not associated with celebrities or sports stars but if I thought the watch was nice it would not stop me buying one just because of this.

Generally don't like it for the reasons stated, altho on the original Schumi it does work.

I would not wear a celebrity endorsed timepiece, I simply would not.

Perhaps because I'm a huge Formula 1 fan, I can accept the Schumacher signature. He's arguably one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time. An actors signature doesn't appeal to me.
