There are dozens of other threads discussing owning only 1 Rolex, this is more or less the same, but the conversation entered through a back door ;)

Saying "goodbye" over and over again doesn't make sense considering he's still a Rolex owner who may still have plenty to contribute. On the same token, announcing you've decided on a one and only Rolex doesn't mean every other watch purchased from here on out should be an invicta, or citizen or seiko. Anyway, maybe I'm wrong but I think people need to relax a bit.

I own an skx007 that I love btw!
Good response and probably the most sensible

It's not as if the OP was rubbishing the brand.

Good. Join me in the freedom from needing more, and wear your Sub until the end. Here's some inspiration:

Excellent read, thanks for sharing

Not sure I would choose to be a 'one watch guy' though.

Chaps

Freedom of speech should be the number one priority of any forum. If you want to read only gushy and loving praises of Rolex, then believe me, anyone with an IQ of more than two digits would become bored stiff after a short period of time.

The OP was polite, he never overtly criticised anything or anyone, and to disparage him is just gang hut mentality.

We are a forum of thousands of individuals and it is impossible for us all to think the same. The purpose of this forum is to make you think, not to blot out the thoughts of someone you may disagree with.

Regards

Mick

PS For the really dumb - just remember he who sells his Rolex provides a buying opportunity for the enthusiast. Possibly we should encourage him to be done with Rolex.
