dropped Big Block update

Just received quote from RSC St James, for £355 inc VAT (20% in UK), to include new crystal, re-attach seconds hand, full service of movement and very light refurb of case (after discussing this on the phone with the service department. It will be back in no less than 6 weeks as it is a more unusual model for them to service nowadays, so I was told. Looking forward to showing the results n August!!

Bracelet is immaculate, looks like brand new as I tend to wear on a NATO.

A reasonable price, particularly as the watch will be guaranteed after the service.

I wonder how long the guarantee will be in light of Rolex's recent change from 2 to 5 years for new pieces. I think the previous post-service guarantee period was 1 year. I wonder if they'll extend it proportionately...

All things considered it could have been a lot worse, it'll be back with you in no time
