Rolex Beds???

Where/what should you do with your Rolex at night. I've just gotten my first Sub 16610 and at the moment I'm just setting it on my nightstand dial facing up.

I've seen a couple posts about accurate time talking about setting it Crown up to slow it down or crown down to speed it up or something. Wasnt sure if there was a correct or incorrect way to let your Rolex lay.

I just set mine on the dresser and call it a night

I wear it to bed or put it in the wolf watch roll (leather w purple guts)

I just put mine in a standard watch box in my dresser, dial up.

Mine gains a bit on my wrist, so I do store it stem up. That keeps it at about .9 seconds fast a day.

Myself have had a specially made Rolex bed made from the finest materials known to man.Its lined with the finest silk and specially padded with the finest softest Pashmina as not to scratch the 904L S.steel.And it has a built in winder to gently rock my Rolex watches to sleep and keep its heart ticking at a constant 28800BPH.Plus the added feature of thermostatically heat humidity and air conditioned controlled to the COSC standard.Its fully Programmed to lull my Rolex to sleep when off my wrist, with soothing ticking and whale sounds to help it drift into a place of peace and Rolex tranquility.

Afraid the Rolex bed is at the moment a very secret proto type but will be taking orders soon once I have it it full production price expected to be $300 -$500 owing to winder expense as these winders are special COSC certified motor ones..

But in the real world a Rolex is just a watch and does not care how the watch is left to rest off wrist flat,downside up, crown up or downsideup while off the wrist or the need for a special resting cloth.And in different resting positions perhaps a difference of one or two seconds at most out of 86400 in a day life's to short to worry about resting positions and perhaps a second or so.But the most important thing is when you wake up and you can see your watch is still ticking that shows you are still alive and well to enjoy another day of wearing your Rolex watch that's far more important I can assure you.

I take it off and put it back in the box just like al my other watches

I have both mine on a high shelf in my closet. They lay on the crown side on a soft cloth.

I normaly leave it on the floor next to the bed,face up or down,on its side! It ain't gonna hurt it!

Nightstand crown up, positioning seems to have absolutely no effect on mine at all, -.75 sec per day.

leather valet tray is easiest place to leave watch for less than a day and it sort of protects it

There is no right or wrong. Today's movements do not react much to positional adjustment.

Myself though, I had a small garage built next to the Rolls stall for my watch. I roll it in on a suede and burl-wood dolly at night - Like Peter, it's fully environmentally controlled.
