Help with this '67/68 1603
I'm looking at this 2.2 million serial 1603 as a gift for my FIL. The bracelet and end links look fairly worn in these pictures. Seller says bracelet is 70% (but no clear picture of just the bracelet).
Is this an original dial? |

Thanks.
The seller is a brick and mortar store with an online presence. I've asked about the dial and am waiting for a reply. |

Nickname of this dialtype is Buckley. I'm not sure whether they were sold in 1967 but the type itself is legit.

Thanks. The seller has replied that he doesn't think this dial was offered with this watch (Crown rules again!), though it's not mentioned in the ad. He's also grading the watch condition at 90%, which seems high for a redialed watch with significant bracelet wear.
It's priced at $2200. I had intended to gift this with a gator band to my FIL, but the price feels out of line with the condition of the watch. |
