Production numbers

Does anyone know how many FC and ceramic divers have been made? My ceramic is less than 550, in fact it's 500 plus my exact age, kind of funny.

So my guess is less than 600 for the black ceramic, probably much less for the white as it's not very wanted by collectors, don't know for the FC but I would guess also not too many, so since they stopped production that makes them very "limited editions", it also seems that many people are pulling the trigger now since they stopped making them, it made me buy it sooner also, glad I did it's an awesome watch, can't believe the comfort, to be honest I have the impression it's as comfy as my 5712, I sleep with it and wear it 24/7, and am amazed as I can't wear SS Rolexes because of discomfort, and that's pieces which are +/- the same weight, around 140 grams, the only thing is that 1 hole is too loose and the other too tight, so will get short strap, but even like this it's really nice to wear

Arnauld, just curious. Why do you sleep wearing your watch?

Not sure on #'s, but I agree, 1 hole is too tight, the other a lil too loose.

I always sleep with my watches on too... Is that odd?

Can't answer for him.

I have always slept with a watch on...any AP, RM, PP, etc, etc...I want to look at my arm in the middle of the night and see time.

Hence, I need lume. Could I have an alarm clock, yes, do I want one....no.

That's why I sleep with a watch...yes even 44mm RG...sleeps great

Hmm... probably it's just me but it's strange to me. I can never sleep with my watch on as I toss and turn a lot when I sleep and it's bound to end up with dings and scratches if I do so.

No production numbers are ever published...so your guess is as good as any.

As for sleeping with watches, not me either, everything comes off when I enter the house. ;-)

I'm the same.

If my watch doesn't have lume, I sleep with one on that does.

Maybe strange but I feel something is missing if I don't have anything on my wrist, really I feel better with my watch on, it's comforting

Don't know but it seems we are not the only ones

The only thing which could scratch it is my wife's wedding band, so minimal risk even though the 3 or 4 micro hairlines on my 5712 bezel in 1 year wearing 24/7 are from her ring, I am sure for 2 as I wasn't sleeping and heard her ring touching my watch and looked immediately, and the 2 others I have strong suspicion that it's also her ring, apart from that nothing else

Started before you, at 5, I had a Mickey mouse watch, my son also has a watch since he's 5, he is very happy to have it, so no you're not crazy at all, or if you are so am I

I guess most people take off also for sleeping, I just feel better with than without

I get you but the lump goes off after some time, so for me it's really a comfort issue, just feels better with one on, of course one that's comfy, some watches I couldn't sleep with, if they are too heavy and not comfy no way

I hear you. I feel naked without a watch on. I just traded my Daytona for a RO, and I wore my Daytona there, and I'm having the RO shipped to where I'm getting married next week; so I left the AD without a watch on.

I would say at least 5 times from when I left to when I got home I had a mini panic attack in my head thinking I lost my watch.

You have to get rid of the lead pillows, Ben. Then you won't have to worry about dings and scratches!

Exactly I really feel something is wrong when I don't have a watch on, in fact I can go without a watch on my wrist in day time for a few hours, but comes night I feel the need to wear it, maybe there's a psychological explanation for this, like when you smoke shrinks believe that very often it's because your mom didn't breast feed you and you were given powder milk

You did it! Huge congrats on incoming RO. I remember you were thinking of letting your Daytona go when I mentioned that I sold mine
