Getting an SS Daytona in London of all cities as a "walk-in-customer", and at list to boot?
Sorry, but I doubt it. But best of luck! There's no harm in trying. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Craig,
We where in London last month and I tried every AD in Bond St, New Bond St,Oxford St, Selfridges & Harrods with NO luck, most of them wouldn't even entertain you going on their waiting list, other AD's hadn't seen one in years or so they say!! The only place that I saw S/S Daytona's where in the grey dealers, which had prices varying from £6,700 - £7,150 I'm sorry to appear so negative, but I am just relaying to you my personal experiences. IMO the only way to get one is through an AD and get onto their waiting list.

Fingers crossed for you.
The chances are extremely remote, though. It is likely that every AD has a large waiting list and it would require an act of benevolence on the part of the manager to jump you to the top of the list on the spot. Nothing wrong with asking though.
