In addition to the issue of the lume being on only the hands for the diamond dial, the brown colored subdials are gone and makes the watch's dial look more monotone for me. For that reason since I love the blue/brown combo I would choose the no diamond dial, regardless of rarity.

Really?? They are ugly? Never heard that one before. You may need an optometrist appointment. But I guess everybody on a forum has their right to their opinions. Lol

I like both, I've handled the diamond version on many occasions, you don't really notice the diamond until you're really looking at it. But got one without the diamond since the AD have it in stock at time of purchase

The diamonds really look nice on the Platona and I'm normally not one for diamonds on watches, but I prefer the original brown sub dials to the all-glacier dial, so, I'd go with the original no question.

I am generally not a fan for diamonds on a watch but this one is an exception to that rule. Couldn't go wrong either way though.

Agree normally not a diamond fan but this one is very tastefully done. I choose the diamond dial platona!

I just thought of a reason why the diamond dial is a bad idea... the wife will want to wear it all the time!

Definitely non diamond, the brown inner circle with ice blue dial makes it look more unique
