IWC Complete Service Cost

Has anyone on this forum used IWC's "complete" service for their watch? It's the one recommended every 5 years on their website (although I'm sure that's overkill).

I have a port auto that is 3 years old - so I'm still a ways off from getting any complete service - but I was curious how much IWC charges for it. Based on the marketing video on the website, it looks pretty comprehensive.

It's around $300 for maintenance and around $600 for full service. They charge more if the watch has a chrono.

My IWC 5002 transitional is getting serviced right now at Superior in NY who is authorized watchmaker/service center for IWC in USA and the cost is $900 for full service.

Ouch! and that not a chrono.....I just bought a used Aquatimer blue face Chrono for 3500 and was thinking about 600 bucks for full service. I found out the steel bracelet
is 1k to replace the rubber. I forgot that idea real fast....the Rubber strap is comfy and does not look that bad.
I just got my GMT back from Rolex in Dallas and it was 662.17 .....this auto watch disease is expensive.

One of the many reasons Rolex is a great choice, fast and affordable (relatively speaking) to service, service costs do t prevent me from buying a non-Rolex but I definitely think twice about it.

I was just quoted about $730 for IWC to do a full service on my 3756 GST PC Chrono. I declined their offer. IWC picked up the $300 tab for replacing the year wheel, which required removing the crystal and pressure testing the watch after the crystal was replaced.

I should also note that I chose Superior who is authorized IWC watchmaker over Richemont and for premium. I also do the same when it comes to Panerai using La Jolla authorized watchmaker over them as well. The price also included overnight insured shipping was an additional $50. For me certainly worth the slight premium. Also I hardly think $200 will affect one's decision in purchasing a high end watch.

Do you know if they both do the same polishing and laser welding like Richemont?

I have no idea as didn't ask. I am only serving my watch with no polish as it is 100% mint.

Was quoted $700 through an independent on the forums for my AT chrono. Just waiting for the right time to send it off to him
