My First Watch as a Child
I discovered this forum as I began the refreshing process on my father's old model 1016, and I just can't stay away. Anyway, although maybe not the typical topic, I'll give this a try here.
My first watch was given to me around 1971. I was seven. It was a Davy Crockett or Daniel Boone watch, windup, and I recall the rifle was the minute hand. I have looked and looked on eBay and cannot find it. Does anybody know of any other resources? I have a daughter that is five. With my experience in mind, we made sure her first watch was not a $5 Toys R Us digital Disney. We got her a Swatch Flic Flac analog Disney Cinderella watch (designed to help her learn to tell time), and we are going to do all we can to keep it from getting lost. |
