Lange 1 moon phase - stunning!!!

Hi all

I am simply blown away by this one and I had to share. It is simply incredible in person, I have compared most high end brands against this one and some that are far higher in price but personally nothing beats it.

I would quite happily have this and my Aquanaut as my only watches, it is that good. I am tempted but at £29k RRP it is not cheap!

Working on a plan for hopefully a 2016 purchase, wish me luck ;-)

Have a good weekend all.

Cheers
Anuj

Best of luck!

I absolutely love this one, and it is for sure a grail of mine.

what do you guys think about the grande Lange 1 moonphase version? Apparently, the moonphase display in this one is much more detailed (~ 400 stars) and more accurate. This is very high up on my wishlist,

Very nice

I prefer the non grande version because it has lume on the hands, dial and power reserve. Also the moon is better positioned and at 38.5 mm is the perfect size.

However I do agree the moon is better due to it being far more detailed as you mentioned.

Like Al Pacino once said "just when I thought I was out... They pull me back in"..

My Wife is going to kill me.
What a beauty of a watch

Neil I wouldn't pay close to retail for any watch!

Well one exception: Patek 5131

I love Lange, only problem they are too dressy for me, I know if I get one I will almost never wear it, a PP 5712 is the dressiest I can go, but maybe a Datograph PC one day, it's dressy but with complications so that could do it, and it's such a stunner, plus probably the most beautiful movement around, with a RM it's probably my grail watch, Lange make amazing watches, I would go for it...

Thanks all for the comments.

Anuj ... I see your point ... Need to ponder more. Btw, I think the version you showed has instantaneous date change at midnight - at least the newest version has. Best of luck in your hunt

The moonphase disc is amazing...there are some moonphase watches out there that could be incredible but fall short on the disc

Agree, the one Lange use is a solid gold disc and have a special process to achieve the nocturnal blue so the gold stars and moon stand out even more.

Fully agree with both of you. It really makes the watch pop, and very desirable!

A few more shots from the Lange website. It's great to see some of the outstanding work that has gone into the movement here.
