My first Rolex

I finally have my fist Rolex. I bought a pre-owned GMT Master II Coke flavor. It is a P series bought new in November of 2000 with papers and box and case. I am very happy with my choice over the Submariner. What do you think?

I love the GMT...It's the most versatile watch Rolex makes..

And the red/black is my favorite of the bunch...

I think you made a great choice. You can always change the bracelet [jubilee] and bezel inserts [pepsi/ black] to create as many as 6 differents combos. Welcome to TRF and the 4 hand club.

Well...................that's where the hitch comes in. Rolex USA will not allow you to purchase a new bezel insert without taking the original one. In fact, I've heard they won't change from the original at all anymore.
Ebay or watch forums are about the only option unless you're traveling to Europe anytime soon. My wife purchased a pepsi insert while in Munich last year. I'm planning a trip to London next Oct to meet some TRF members and buy a coke insert to celebrate.

Congratulations for your new baby !

I know exactly how you are feeling.
I am also a proud owner of my first rolex. I bought a pre-owned GMT Master II, F series bought brand new from Rolex Greece in January of 2005 with papers and box and case.
I live a big dream and a bigger love.
I have eyes for nothing else than my baby.
Enjoy ( my poor photography).
