Well if you did lose it, i'm sure Rolex would have traded you a new one for that beautiful pic to use in their marketing campaign. That looks like something you'd see in a magazine

No way I'm taking my watch off near the ocean. Not a fan of the accelerated distressing by bouncing around on rocks either.

I would anticipate that your watch got some scratches since those rocks are sharp.

I lost my retainer in the ocean when I was a kid...that was $80, I can't imagine losing a Rolex!

To be fair, I think the SD returning to the sea is a bit more poetic than having it stashed in a safe. But for real great shot and glad a tragedy was averted.
