The perfect explorer collection?
Does anyone own both the explorer 2 216570 in polar white and black together with the explorer 214270, would this make the perfect trio of rolex watches, opinions & photos please, many thanks in advance.

I've owned all three but not at the same time.
As for the perfect trio, I'd need more diversity. |

To me the perfect explorer collection would be similar to what you're saying but a step back to the 1980s. A 1016 and a 16550.
Same idea, different decade

Perfect "Explorer" collection for me would be: 1016, 1655 and 216570 polar.

I'm afraid not.
Too bright for me, I really prefer the black dials, all my watches have black dials. |

I own a 114270 and both 16570's, but recently sold off the black dialed 16570.

I had a white dial Explorer II and an Explorer at one time. The Explorer didn't get the wrist time I thought it would.

I wouldn't call it the perfect Rolex trio, but I still prefer the older set here to the current lineup.

Someone owns 60+ Subs all with black dial so why not own just Explorers if you love Explorers

I've got both of the 16570s and a 214270, all three of which I love (although the Explorer is favourite). If only I could find a perfect 114270 with engraved rehaut then I'd have the perfect Explorer collection, IMHO.

I tried on the latest explorer 214270 recently in a local ad, it appeared to be quite small on my wrist which is slightly over 7.5 inches, my exp 2 216570 polar is about the right size, my next rolex model will probably be the exp 2 216570 in black?

Great lineup, Adam! It has always be my impression that Explorers and Explorer IIs are very popular in Hong Kong as far back as the '70s. Is this true or just my skewed observation?
