First post, first Rolex, 1501
Hi all new here, just purchased my first of hopefully many Rolex watches to come. I consider it a starter Rolex lol. I think it's around 1968? From what I understand the strap is aftermarket but does have an original clasp, and as you can see the bezel is an aftermarket diamond one (I do have the original) I really love the way this watch looks, especially in the sun. Wouldn't mind picking up either an original or aftermarket stainless band to switch out depending on my mood. Leave me some comments I'd love to hear from some of the Rolex enthusiasts.

If it's got acrylic crystal I suspect it would be a good idea to replace it and retest the watch for water tightness when pulling off the bezel. This more than a $50 task.

I had problems with the watch while on vacation. Stopped running and yes it was wound. When I would advance the minute hand forward the second hand would tick a few ticks then stop. It's having the bezel put on and being checked over at this moment.
