Natural light is a must with the matte/satin dial.

One thing if I had to make a change to the 116600 is I'd of liked it to have a matte or at least toned down the gloss of the bezel insert which I feel would make it compliment the dial and give it that more tool like look.

Can't go wrong with any but I assume the 116600 was a no go so are you leaning towards the 116610LN or LV?

First of all, a big congratulations to the OP on a great choice! im definitely loving mine more every time I wear it.

I visited a couple of AD's and initially decided not to purchase the SD but I realized the lighting in both stores wasn't providing an accurate portrayal. Once I saw the watch in natural lighting the look (to me) was very different. The dial really doesn't look brownish to me at all.

The more I see this watch, the more I'm starting to lust after one. OP, those black and white shots are amazing. Congrats on a great choice

I'm sure it will bring him joy. Mine will go to my son someday, and then hopefully his son.
