Advice: 114060 or 16600 full set?
Please, help me to decide. Which of the two, and why?

The 114060 would be my pick. The only drawback is that you do not get a date feature.
On the plus side, it has a ceramic bezel, a case that to some (me) is more comfortable, a maxi dial for better visibility and a newer style bracelet/clasp.

Having owned both, my vote would go towards the 114060. The maxi dial, supercase, and bracelet upgrades are well worth it. Then you have the ceramic bezel and Chromalite which would close the deal for me. The 16600 is a really great piece, however it wears small even compared to the older the 16610.

I would go with the newer ceramic because of the ceramic bezel, and all the other upgrades that comes with it.

The answer is easier. If you need a date you get the 16600 if you do not need a date get the other.. The 114060 is better looking of the two.
I myself need a date so the 114060 would never be a option for me. |

considering that I already own a 14060 and a 16610, I would complete the old diver collection. This was the reason why I was undecided...

114060. Have you considered the 116600?

Had the 16600 ( it's still my profile picture) loved how it looked, but too top heavy and couldn't get the fit just right. You cannot have less than 5 links at 6:00 side. This too me was the final reason to sell, I need 4 1/2 at 6:00 for centered perfect fit. It looks to me your not a fan of the cyclops, and neither am I. I ended up with the 114060 and I'm much happier with it for all the reasons stated above. Also, as I wrote in an earlier thread, the 114060 comes with a half link hidden in the clasp that you can move to other side if needed.

I had the same dilemma a few weeks ago. Picked 114060 and not regretted it for a minute....

Why? Glidelock clasp.

Do you prefer newer ceramic bezel, bracelet and case? Or previous case, plots and hands? Your answer should lead you to which watch is for you. For me, I prefer 5 digit refernces due to case, lugs, hands and plots. I'm biased though because I wear a 16600 almost daily.
