I was close to losing it, Peter, when I read Jocke's post on that.

I love the exp.II.
Tried one on in the AD. Had a look in the full length mirror and for once in my miserable life my eyes weren't drawn to what was peeking over my belt but to the masterpiece on my wrist.
I will have one before the year is out.
Congratulations.

Hi, Roger! Congrats on your new Expy. I could sense the photographic blood in you, by stating "specular highlights," that had caused the difficulty of seeing the window date. Got Rolleiflex? Now, you own a Rollie! I got a Leica.

A while back, I once read one of your postings in the other forum you frequent, and I was really impressed on your literary style. You and Fr. John, are both great guys, that I look up to.

Again, congratulations on your new and excellent timepiece.

Cheers.

Louie

So here tis, the adequate, at best, shots promised. I feel sure that Fr. John will post his shots, also.

Quite pleased with it, so far. Only downside is the blasted cyclops. Outside, the specular highlights reflecting off the cyclops from the AZ sun make the date window very difficult to read.

Roger, congratulations! IMHO, the Explorer II is a TON of watch...good from the Amazon Rain Forests to Mt. Everest. Amazingly tough, accurate, beautiful design. Poetry.
best,
dan

Great pics, great watch. Congrats. You'll love the black face. It's much easier to read than the white in low light conditions.

Nice. Congrats again to both you and John. You DO get used to the cyclops. I did, and even start to prefer it over time!
