Vintage Seiko 6139-6005 Service
Hi Everyone,
I have a vintage 1970s Sekio 6139-6005 that was my dads...he purchased it brand new when he was in the US Air Force. I recently had the crystal, gaskets, pushers, etc. replaced but it's in need of movement service. Does anyone here know any watchmakers that can work on this particular watch? Here's a pic for reference: Thanks in advance for your input! |

Great watch, really enjoy mine.
Per our PM conversation, I will call my watchmaker to see if he's a possible source for service. dP

You can't service it with the guy that replaced all those parts? Great watch BTW. If I remember correctly our buddy MonBK owns the same model. Cheers.

Dan - Believe it or not I found a guy near me that can service it. PM me if you'd like the details.

Brings back memories
I bought one just like that as a college graduation gift to myself around 1979. It was used...walking down the street in Westwood (LA), saw it in a window nd bought it just because bi thought it was cool. Was on my way for a self supported bike tour through New Zealand, Tasmania, and stop in Fiji.
A few years later it leaked and I was advised it wasn't repairable and it's now long gone. Good luck with the repair... I really wish I still had mine! |
